Born and raised in Seychelles on the pristine La Digue Island, where he began his journey, Our Captain Jeff has been at sea since a very young age and has advanced in his career to achieve a Skipper license under 60 nm.

He is a young and talented captain who carries himself calmly and works with passion, dedication, smile, and is always up for a dive or a freediving session.

Though he is not a loud one, you will feel safe onboard with Jeff and most definitely have a great conversation with him on the way to an adventure. 🌊

One of the best dive ever? Most Definitely! BUT....

Grey reefs shark is listed as Endangered on the IUCN red list and to have been able to witness an aggregation of 30+ of them mostly pregnant females has been a privelege. After million of years adapting to life on Earth they are now struggling more than ever to keep a stable population.
Sadly, for the several weeks they have been here scouting for a place to put their pups ( 1 - 6 produced at a time), we have noticed they are facing the threat of being fished and injured (spot the one at the end of video with hook and rope attached in mouth).
For the several weeks that we have been diving with them NO HUMAN was injured or attacked in any way. Though they are aggressive predators they have no interest in consuming us and only react when threatened, but Human loves the delicacy. Their close family the Eagle Rays also seen in the video are not spared from the threat and are listed as Vulnerable on the IUCN red list.

As divers, we observe the behaviour of these creatures and try to make a minimal impact as much as possible. As people who care we try to share awareness and our knowledge as we believe that the smallest voices makes the loudest noise.
